I've been running a Metzler 140/90 and it rubs the bag bracket even with a flat head countersunk bolt in place of the orginal. It is almost flush with the bracket. In reality, any tire other than the same brand, quality and size as the orginal will vary some and change the speedo acuracy. Not sure it is even that accurate with the stock tire on it. The man with the radar will tell you how fast your were going regardless of what your speedo shows. I know the handling does improve with the better quality tire. Same applies to car and trucks. The manufactures save big money by buying less quality tires for new vehicles. Even 50 cents a tire adds up by the end of the model run.
